Things We Imagined…And Brought To Life

There are dozens of cakes, flowers, and other yummy things that we have created throughout the years. We couldn’t take pictures of all of them or pictures just didn’t work out, however, here are some that did.  We hope this helps you to imagine something truly marvelous that we can bring to life.

Some Of Our Creations

Wedding Cake for Brianna & Jon

 5 Tiered Etherial Wedding Cake

Sugar Flowers

These were custom made for this wedding cake according to the bride’s request of colour and type.

More Sugar Flowers on Fondant Bark Bottom Tier

Yes, the bark is edible!   YUM!  It was made of fondant and chocolate modeling paste.

16th Birthday Cake

Designed by Customer (“B” is not a pretzel or wood, it’s fondant).  You will see the use of Diamonte ribbon for a classy touch.

Animal Print with Bling

Celebrating 27th Birthday with Bling complete with pink sugar rimmed glasses. Clink clink!

Ocean Themed Birthday Cake

No, these are not seashells, they are all hand painted chocolate and edible.  Sorry about the lighting, this photo was taken some time ago.

Wedding Cake for Kaitlynn and Glen

The fountain on this cake broke right before the reception.  We rushed to get a replacement seconds before it closed AND got a discount because they felt sorry for us.   Panic turned into picture perfect!

Add Your Own Personality

Adding your own cake toppers can really add some fun and personality to your cake.

Burgundy Blue Silver and Pink

All of the flowers were hand made and were flown in my luggage from the U.K. to Arizona in the United States without any breakage.  The large green leaves are silk.

Zoo Cake

Making these zoo animals was so much fun.  My favourites are the snake on top, the parrot to the right (which is hard to see here), and the monkey.

Whimsical Garden

Mary Engelbreit themed cake designed for a surprise retirement party.  I was inspired by Mary Engelbreit’s iconic designs to create this.

Magical Ladybird Birthday

Another whimsical design with strawberries and strawberry blooms and a large ladybird topper to celebrate a 30th.

Cream and Gold Wedding Cake for Alejandra and Nathan

I made this cake not knowing anything about the reception theme they had chosen or what the venue looked like. The bride and groom pretty much gave me full license to do whatever I liked.  It turned out to match things pretty well, which I am very grateful for.

Hand made Roses

Roses and gold berries were all hand made.  Greenery was silk.  The mixture of the two made it look pretty realistic.  These roses traveled from the U.K. to Arizona in the United States.

Pilot Cakes

The two additional cakes on the left and right of the fountain are called pilot cakes.  They are just for extra servings or if the cake is to be a centrepiece for the entire evening and not to be disassembled, the cake can be made of polystyrene covered in fondant and sugar flowers whilst the pilot cakes can be used for cutting.

Sports Fan Birthday

Score!  The ball on top is completely edible.  A fun idea for the fan in your life.

A Casino Birthday Cake

Can you tell what this theme is?  All playing pieces are edible.  This cake was so much fun to create!

Blue and Gold Graduation Cake

This young lady loves sunflowers.  Each petal of each sunflower has been attached separately.  Her school colours were navy blue and gold.  Perfect colour combination for this sunny graduation cake. Congratulations!

Baby Reveal Cake

I would like to give credit for the actual design of this cake to Elisabeth Palatiello of But a Dream Custom Cakes.  Thank you for your permission for me to show my work based on your design.  Baby Reveal Cakes are becoming increasingly popular. They are so much fun, especially if the initial cutting cake is different from pink or blue!   Yes, this was an absolute hoot!

Chocolate Modelling Paste Baby Giraffe Front

I love working with chocolate modelling paste.  Look at this sweet little baby.

Chocolate Modelling Paste Baby Giraffe Back

With cake toppers, the back needs to look as good as the front.   Loved making that cute little tail.

Swiss Meringue Buttercream Wreath Cake

Lovely soft and silky texture and light taste.

Swiss Meringue Buttercream Flowers

These flowers won’t “crust” like American Buttercream but are not as stable.  The weather and availability to use refrigeration when it’s warm out determine if they are appropriate to use.

Swiss Meringue Buttercream Flowers

Two toned or three toned buttercream flowers make them look more realistic.

Duckling Baby Shower Cupcakes

Each little duckling was made by hand using fondant.  This photo was taken some time ago but the idea is still quite cute.

Minions!!

The little minions were made with Twinkies and fondant.  Who doesn’t like Minions?

Football Cake

This was a 1/2 round cake on top of a two layered square cake.  If you look closely you can see little footballs on each corner.

Race Car Cake

This is actually my first carved cake so be gentle.  It is also my first time using airbrush.   I received permission from Pirelli to use their logo for this cake.

Vroom Vroom!

Everything on this cake is edible,  even the tyres, not rice crispy treats, although there would be nothing wrong with that.

Side View of Race Car Cake

I pretty much guessed on the body of this car.  I had a picture but it’s quite hard to make a cake look like a photo of a race car.  I hear it went really fast!

Beach Themed 70th Birthday Cake

This cake was made from a design by Natalie Porter of Immaculate Confections.  This was for my brother-in-law who loves the sea.  The way the waves meet the driftwood is a nice effect.

Close Up of the Flowers

I believe the flowers were based on coastal plants found in the U.K.

Better View of Driftwood, Waves, & Sandy Beach

Making the waves and driftwood was new to me and it was a delight to work on.

Merry Christmas

Nothing puts me more in the mood for Christmas than decorating a delicious Christmas fruit cake made by my husband!

Merry Christmas!
